I had something similar happen when we installed our green roof a couple years back. The initial invoice was just one big number, and I remember thinking, "Whoa, that's steep...literally." 😅 Once I asked for a breakdown, turns out they'd accidentally included disposal fees twice. Easy fix, saved me some cash, and made the whole process way less stressful. Definitely worth double-checking those invoices—mistakes happen more often than you'd think.

Yeah, I've seen this happen a few times myself. Once, we had a supplier accidentally charge us for premium shingles when we'd ordered standard ones. Took a bit of back-and-forth to sort it out, but they eventually admitted the mistake. Makes me wonder though...do these errors usually lean in the customer's favor, or is it always the other way around? Seems suspiciously one-sided sometimes.

I've noticed similar issues myself, but I'm not entirely convinced it's always skewed against the customer. Last year, when I replaced my roof, the supplier mistakenly billed me for fewer bundles of shingles than they actually delivered. I caught it and pointed it out—felt like the fair thing to do. So, while I agree that

"mistakes happen more often than you'd think,"
I'm skeptical they're always one-sided. Probably just human error rather than anything intentional...

- Agreed, mistakes definitely go both ways—seen suppliers short themselves plenty of times.
- Usually it's just rushed paperwork or miscounts at the warehouse.
- One tip: always double-check delivery slips against your actual order. Caught a pallet of shingles once that wasn't even mine...driver was halfway down the street before I flagged him down.
- Bottom line, honest mistakes happen, but staying vigilant saves headaches later.

Good points there—I've definitely seen similar mix-ups during storm season, especially when suppliers are slammed with orders. One thing I've noticed is that discrepancies often pop up when partial deliveries happen. You know, when the supplier splits an order across multiple trucks or days? That's when things get messy. Curious if anyone has a reliable method for tracking partial shipments effectively without drowning in paperwork...
