Been looking into metal roofs lately since our shingles are pretty much toast. Narrowed it down to steel or aluminum, but I'm kinda stuck. Steel seems tougher and cheaper, but aluminum apparently handles corrosion better, especially near the coast (we're about 10 miles inland). Anyone have experience with either? Curious if the extra cost for aluminum is really worth it or if steel holds up just fine long-term.
