So I was thinking the other day...what if one of those monster hailstorms rolled through my neighborhood? You know, the kind that leaves dents in cars and shreds plants. My roof is metal, and I've heard they're supposed to hold up pretty well, but honestly, I've never seen it tested by anything bigger than pea-sized hail. Anyone here actually had their metal roof go through a serious hailstorm? Curious how it held up or if you ended up with dents everywhere.
I've had a metal roof for about 8 years now, and we got hit by golf-ball-sized hail a couple summers back. Honestly, it held up surprisingly wellβno leaks or structural issuesβbut if you look closely, there are definitely some minor dents visible from certain angles. Still beats replacing shingles though...
