So, my landlord's pretty chill overall, but recently I had to get the dishwasher fixed because it was leaking all over the kitchen floor. I texted him about it, and he said to just go ahead and call someone and he'd cover it. Anyway, repair guy came, did his thing, and now I've got this bill sitting here.

Landlord says he's cool either wayβ€”he can Venmo me the cash directly or just knock it off next month's rent. I'm kinda torn. On one hand, cash right now sounds nice because, you know, money in hand is always good. But on the other hand, having a lighter rent payment next month feels like a mini bonus or something.

I guess I'm wondering if there's any advantage to one option over the other that I'm not thinking of? Like maybe there's some hidden benefit to taking it off rent instead of getting cash upfront? Or vice versa? I dunno...maybe I'm overthinking this whole thing (wouldn't be the first time lol).

Has anyone else been in a similar spot? Which would you pick and why?
