I dunno, I'd be a bit more cautious about dismissing granule loss after storms. Seen roofs that looked fine from the ground but turned out pretty beat up once we climbed up there. Better safe than sorry, especially if your area's prone to nasty weather...
Yeah, good point—granule loss can be sneaky. Ever climbed up thinking "this'll be quick," then spent the next hour finding hidden damage? Storms love surprises, don't they... Better to check now than regret later.
