Wondering if that combo makes any difference or if it’s still all about what the adjuster can see for themselves.

I’ve found that a contractor’s written assessment sometimes helps, but only if the contractor is super detailed—like, including photos and specific moisture readings tied to exact spots. Still, if there’s no visible damage, most adjusters I’ve dealt with just shrug. Did you ever try using thermal imaging or infrared scans? Curious if that got more traction than just a regular moisture meter report.

I’ve actually had the opposite experience—my adjuster barely glanced at the contractor’s report, even with thermal images. He just wanted to see physical evidence, like staining or soft spots. Maybe it depends on the company or how obvious the issue is? I wish those scans carried more weight...

- I’ve got a binder now with every receipt, inspection report, and about a million photos. Not that anyone’s asked for it yet, but I feel like if I don’t have it, they’ll want it.

Funny how the “proof” standard shifts, right? One adjuster wants a moisture meter reading, the next is fine with a blurry phone pic of a ceiling stain. Ever had one ask about granule loss or just focus on torn tabs? I’ve seen both. Gotta wonder how anyone keeps it straight.
