Just finished tackling the roof on my detached garage last weekend, and man, it was a bigger job than I thought it'd be. One thing that saved me a ton of hassle was renting one of those magnetic sweepers to pick up stray nails afterward. Seriously, you'd be amazed how many nails end up scattered around, even when you're careful. My tires (and my feet) are thanking me already, haha.
Also, if you're stripping off old shingles, lay down a tarp firstβmakes cleanup way easier. Learned that one the hard way after spending hours picking bits of shingles out of the grass.
Curious if anyone else has some handy tips or hacks they've picked up from their own roofing adventures. Always good to have more tricks up your sleeve for next time, you know?
