Lowered my insurance bill after a roof inspection—anyone else surprised?

That “roof stuff” folder is honestly gold—wish more previous owners were that organized. I ran into a similar situation last year when the inspector got weirdly fixated on the decking under my shingles. I thought new shingles would be enough, but nope, they wanted proof the decking wasn’t the original 60s plywood. Ended up crawling around the attic with a flashlight and dust mask, snapping photos of nails and wood grain. Insurance shaved about $100 off my bill, but I’m still not convinced it was worth the two afternoons and mystery attic bruises. Still, at least there’s peace of mind knowing what’s up there… kinda.
