Tried a bunch of stuff that didn't really work, but recently got a roofing guy who suggested adding tapered insulation and improving drainage. Wasn't cheap, but man, it worked like a charm.
Just wanted to share a quick win I had recently. Our old flat roof was leaking like crazy every time it rained, and honestly, I was dreading the cost of replacing it. Did some digging around online, talked to a few local roofers, and ended up going with a TPO membrane roof. Wasn't exactly cheap, but way less than I expected, and the install was surprisingly quick.

It's been about six months now, and we've had some pretty heavy storms roll through. Not a single leak or issue so far (knock on wood). Plus, our energy bills dropped noticeably this summer—guess the reflective surface really does help keep things cooler inside.

Anyway, I'm feeling pretty relieved and happy with how it turned out. Curious if anyone else here has had similar luck with membrane roofing? Maybe EPDM or PVC? Would love to hear your experiences or if you ran into any unexpected perks or issues along the way.
