"battery anxiety is real"

Haha, I hear you on that. Had a homeowner last month who was tackling his own roof and swore by his cordless nailer. Told me he almost slipped once because of the hose on his old pneumatic setup—said it felt like wrestling an angry snake up there. Cordless definitely gives you more freedom to move around safely. Just keep that extra battery handy, and you'll be good to go. Sounds like you made the right call.

Totally agree—battery anxiety hits hard, haha. Couple things I've learned:
- Grab a third-party battery or two (cheaper and usually decent).
- Keep one charging while you work.
Cordless is def worth it for safety and convenience... hoses are a nightmare up there.

Third-party batteries can be hit or miss, honestly. Had one crap out mid-job last summer—talk about frustrating. Still beats dragging hoses around though. Curious if anyone's tried those hybrid nailers that switch between battery and pneumatic? Seems like best of both worlds...

- Hadn't even heard of hybrid nailers before, interesting idea...
- But honestly, how much pricier are they compared to regular battery ones?
- Wonder if the extra cost is really worth it for occasional DIY roofing jobs.
- Anyone had experience with longevity on these hybrids—do they hold up over time, or just another gimmick?

- Tried a buddy's hybrid nailer on a shed project last summer.
- Honestly, felt solid and drove nails smoothly, but couldn't shake the feeling it was overkill for occasional DIY stuff.
- Price difference is noticeable... not outrageous, but enough to make you pause.
- Can't speak to longevity personally, but my gut says stick with standard battery if you're not roofing regularly.
