That’s pretty much me every time I’m up on a steep roof. I’ve tried those magnetic wristbands too and they’re just a pain—either grabbing every bit of metal dust or not holding the one thing I actually need. The pouch-on-the-hammer-loop trick is solid, though. Sometimes I’ll even hang my chalk line off it if I’m just moving around quick and don’t want to dig through my belt.
One weird thing I started doing is sliding a small water bottle through the hammer loop when it’s blazing hot out. Not what it’s meant for, but when you’re up there sweating buckets, having water close by is worth looking a little ridiculous. Still haven’t found the perfect setup either... seems like everyone’s got their own hack for making that loop useful.
