HOW TO SAFELY HANDLE ELECTRICAL STUFF AROUND THE HOUSE

I've been doing some DIY electrical work lately—nothing major, just replacing outlets and switches and stuff. Here's what I usually do: first, I shut off the breaker (obviously), then double-check with a voltage tester to make sure it's really off. Then I use insulated tools and wear rubber-soled shoes, you know, just in case. But um, does anyone have better tips or tricks to stay safe? I'm always a bit paranoid about getting zapped...
