"cheapest isn't always bad, but there's definitely a sweet spot between cost and quality."

Totally agree with this. Had a similar experience when we replaced our fridge last year. Thought we'd scored a deal because the price was too good to pass up, but within weeks the ice maker started freezing up and the door seals were already cracking. Warranty covered some repairs, but the hassle wasn't worth it. Now I'm wondering—maybe it's not just about price, but also about how easily you can get things sorted if something goes wrong...

I get your point, but sometimes even the pricier stuff can be more trouble than it's worth. A few years back, we went for a fairly expensive dishwasher, thinking we'd avoid exactly the kind of headaches you're describing. Well, within a month or two, it started leaking and making this weird grinding noise. Customer support was responsive enough, but getting replacement parts took forever. Honestly, the whole process felt like pulling teeth...

Makes me wonder if reliability isn't always tied directly to cost or even brand reputation. Maybe it's more about doing a bit of homework beforehand—checking reviews or feedback on specific models rather than just assuming higher price equals better quality? I dunno, but after that dishwasher fiasco, I'm definitely more skeptical about equating cost with peace of mind.
