Noticed my flat roof is getting pretty gross lately, lots of dirt and some greenish stuff (algae maybe?). Tried hosing it down but didn't really help much. I'm kinda worried about damaging the roofing material if I scrub too hard or use harsh chemicals. Anyone dealt with this before or know a safe way to get it clean without wrecking anything?

Totally get your concern—flat roofs can be finicky. Honestly, I'd steer clear of strong chemicals too. A safer bet is mixing white vinegar and water (about 1:1 ratio). Spray it on, let it sit for 15-20 mins, then gently brush with a soft broom. Worked wonders on mine without damaging anything. Plus, it's eco-friendly, which is always a bonus... Give it a try, you might be surprised how well it cleans up.
